Wordpress Installation

WordPress is a popular content management system (CMS) that allows you to easily create and manage a website or blog. With Softaculous, a tool available in cPanel, you can install WordPress with just a few clicks. Follow the steps below to install WordPress from your cPanel account:

  1. Log in to your cPanel account. This can usually be done by going to Customer Panel Dashboard. Click the web hosting service you want to add WordPress to, and login to your cPanel account on the left hand side.

  2. In the cPanel dashboard, look for the "Softaculous Apps Installer" section and click on the "WordPress" icon.

  3. On the WordPress installation page, click the "Install" button.

  4. In the installation form, enter the following information:

  • The protocol and URL for your WordPress site (e.g. http://www.yourdomain.com)
  • The name of the directory where you want to install WordPress (leave this field blank to install WordPress in the root directory)
  • The name of your website
  • Your admin username and password (used to log in to your WordPress dashboard)
  • Your email address
  • Select the desired language for your WordPress site
  1. Scroll down and review the additional options, such as choosing a theme and enabling email notifications.

  2. When you are ready, click the "Install" button to start the installation process.

  3. Once the installation is complete, you will see a success message with a link to your WordPress dashboard.

  4. To log in to your WordPress dashboard, go to yourdomain.com/wp-admin and enter your admin username and password.
